Climate

The climate on the Cote d’Azur is classically Mediterranean, characterized by warm, dry summers with lots of sunshine. The heat is never unbearable as steady, ocean breezes temper the climate. The sea is warm enough to swim in well into the Fall months. Winters are typically mild on the coast and temperatures rarely reach below 40°F on the coast. However, just one hour away in the Alpes Maritimes, snow is abundant for great skiing, usually beginning in December.
